Funeral Services for Mrs. Rupert Taylor, 87, of Irwinton, will be held on Wednesday November 09, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of New Macedonia Baptist Church 124 Church Street Irwinton, GA. Bishop Dexter B. Lamar will officiate. Interment will follow at the Irwinton City Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was born on September 01, 1929 and made her transition from earth to heaven on November 02, 2016. Mrs. Rupert was a retired employee of Central State Hospital, of 18 years, and a Foster Grandparent, of 6 years.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her mother: Mrs. Agnes Lewis; siblings: Earl Taylor, Roscoe Taylor, Carswell Taylor, Jr., Johnny (J.C) Strange, Herschel Lee Harver and Betty Lou Taylor Knight.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her children: Mrs. Marie Nesbitt and Mr. Douglas Womble, Sr.; siblings: Lucy M. Brown, of New York, Fula Burr, of Atlanta, Frances Cobb, of Gordon, and Mrs. Mattie Jenkins, of Gordon; half-sisters: Murlene Trimble, LaLene Strange, and Mavonia Strange.

Mrs. Taylor will be placed in the sanctuary of New Macedonia Baptist Church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services. Viewing will be held at Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel on Tuesday November 08, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter Mrs. Carolyn Knight at 380 Creek Valley Circle in Irwinton.

Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel 142 Wriley Road Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
