Rosa Lee Ballard

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Ballard will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 11:00AM. Location: Holliman Grove Pentecostal Church - 280 Vinson Road, McIntyre, Georgia 31054. Dr. Norman White will serve as eulogist and Bishop Ridley will officiate.

Rosa Lee McClure Ballard was born Dec. 21, 1940, in Chester S.C. to the late Mr. Willie McClure and Ms. Lucille Goodard. Rosa moved to Georgia in 1960 where she loved to visit and enjoyed her family and friends. She attended the Union County High School where she completed her education and graduated May 26, 1960. She was married to the late Walter Alexander Ballard whom proceeded her in death

Rosa was a dedicated Mother, Friend, and a Servant to her family, church and others in the community. She was NO stranger when she crossed path with others. She loved her family and friends.

Rosa work ethics was very helpful and productive when performing her duties. She was a homemaker for various jobs she had encountered. She provided her services to Mr. Billy and Angela Vinson for 40 years as a dedicated and faithful employer. She believed in and trusted in the Lord. Her faith was strong knowing ALL of her help came from the Lord. She was a full fledged member of the Holliman Grove Pentacle Church for over 20 years under the leadership of Dr. White who was her Pastor and Bishop Joe Riley. She was faithful and dedicated. Rose served in various departments in the church. She served as the church secretary, served on the kitchen committee and any other helping hand she was willing and available to serve.

Rosa maintains her passion for taking care of others in any way she could. She loved planting flowers, and cooking. Rosa transitioned from her earthly home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Her love and memories she leaves with her sons: Nathaniel and Fredrick Ballard. Sister: Louise McClure, Dear Cousin Mother Clara Edmond and some special friends: Janis Bittle, Addie Knight and Christine Thomas.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Willie McClure & Mrs. Lucille Goodard, Son William Alexandra Ballard, Sisters: Ola McClure Steel, Azzie Yarbrough, Juanita Birdson and Elizabeth McClure. Brothers: C. J. McClure and Zeldee Irwin and a host of other relatives and friends.
