Roosevelt Knight, Jr.

Funeral Services for Mr. Roosevelt “Bug” Knight, Jr. will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023at 12:00 Noon at Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Red Level Cemetery. Pastor Randy J. Paschal will serve as eulogist.

Roosevelt “Bug” Knight, Jr. was born October 28, 1961 to the late Mr. Roosevelt “Chick” Knight, Sr. and Mrs. Maggie Knight. He attended Public Schools in Wilkinson County. To know “Bug” was to love him. Laughing and have the time of his life was his specialty. He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Irwinton, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Knight, Sr. and Maggie Knight, and one son, Travis “Trap” Knight.

“Bug” transitioned from his earthly home to be with the Lord Friday, December 15, 2023.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Carolyn Womble-Knight, four sons; Trevino (Lasheria) Knight, Tamorris (Kinyetta) Knight, Terrance Knight, and Antonio Smith, siblings; Julia (Harry) Driskell, Ada (Darryl) Veal, Walton Knight, and Huby Knight, aunts’ Shirley Sylvester and Roberta Mack, grandchildren; Trinity Knight, Avory Smith, Kayla, Karmen, and Kalis Prosser, and Kais Baker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 11:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
