O'Neal Basley, Sr.

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. O'Neal Basley, Sr. will be held Friday, January 23, at 11:00AM at Springhill CME Church - Gordon, Georgia. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. O’Neal Basley, Sr., was born on January 25, 1943, to the late Mr. Tommy Basley and Mrs. Marie Lewis Basley. A devoted servant of the Lord, he was a loving husband, father, and faithful provider. Mr. Basley, Sr. entered eternal rest on January 19, 2026.

Mr. Basley, Sr. took great pride in caring for his family. A dedicated provider, his strong work ethic and quiet sacrifices spoke volumes of his love and commitment. He was lovingly supported by his faithful wife, Inez, who served as his devoted caregiver until the end. Her steadfast love, strength, and compassion were a true reflection of the vows they shared and the faith they lived out together.

Mr. Basley was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mozella Burks; and his brother, Mark Basley, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his faithful wife, Inez; his brother, Eddie Basley; his special stepsister, Frances Butler; his loving children; grandchildren; and all who were blessed to know and love him.

Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in knowing that he has finished his race and now rests in eternal peace in the presence of the Lord whom he faithfully served.

Mr. Basley will be placed in the sanctuary of Springhill CME Church one hour prior to service.

Public Viewing will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 1:00 to 6:00PM at the funeral home.
