Latasha Fordham

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Latasha Tawanda Fordham-Simmons will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 11AM. Location - Wilkinson County High School Auditorium - McIntyre, Georgia. Rev. Kendrick K. Mack will serve as eulogist. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1PM-7PM at Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel - 142 Wriley Road, Irwinton, Georgia.

Mrs. Latasha Tawanda Fordham departed this life on June 19, 2026, at Atrium Health of Macon, Georgia. She was born on March 31, 1980, to the late Hilton Lewis Fordham Sr. and Patricia Ann May Fordham in Augusta, Georgia.

Latasha attended the public schools of Wilkinson County. After high school she attended Heart of Georgia Technical College and earned a degree in Business Administration.

Latasha gave her life to Christ at an early age. She became a member of New Gardners Church of God in Christ in Oconee, Georgia. Latasha was no stranger to anyone for she utilized her God given gift for singing.

Latasha was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hilton and Patricia Fordham, uncle, Revics Fordham, and her brother-in-law, Tommy Simmons.

She leaves to cherish her memories her spouse, Danny Simmons Sr.; daughter, Tay’Naja Richardson; sons, Danny Simmons Jr., Dan’tavis Simmons, and Dannaris Simmons; brother, Hilton Fordham Jr; sister, Lateasha Fordham; brothers-in law, Edward (Kimberly) Simmons, Albert (Sharita) Simmons, Bobby Simmons; sisters-in-law, Melissa (Calvin) Mason and Shernika Simmons; aunts, Barbara (Roscoe) Brown, Elaine (Edward) Christian, Cynthia Dixon, Jackie Fordham and Chiquita (Jimmy) Devoe; uncles, David (Sandra) Fordham, David May, Harvey (Angela) May, and Henry May; nephew, Jarryd Reyshawn Fordham, and two nieces, Demetria Sims and Deborah Sims; bestfriends, Toi (Buffy) Scott, April Pinkston, and Chandra Burrett; and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
