Javoris Lawrence

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Javoris T. Lawrence will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 11:00AM. Location: Shiloh Baptist Church 122 Hooks Street Gordon, Georgia. Dr. Kendrick K. Mack will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery – Gordon.

Javoris Tirrell Lawrence better known as “JV” to many was born January 7, 1988, in Macon, Georgia to the parentage of Cathy Porter Harris and Melvin Lawrence. At the age of 3, he was blessed with a gift for music and was given a gift to play drums and other musical instruments. He was a graduate of Wilkinson County High School - Class of 2006. He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he was a part of the music ministry and served as Lead Drummer. Javoris was employed with FedEx in Macon, Georgia for 4 years and Allied Universal Security in McIntyre, Georgia for 4 years until retirement.

Javoris was preceded in death by his sister, Charvia Myrick. On Monday, December 9, 2024, Javoris was called from labor to reward surrounded by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Cathy (Royce) Harris and Melvin (Tammy) Lawerence, son, Amari Lawrence, devoted brother, Charvis Myrick, Kendall Lawrence, Royce Harris, Jr., and Chandris Harris, sisters, Taras Taylor, Kirsten Lawrence, Roslyn Jackson and Sharoxie Evans, devoted friend, Anna Thomas, devoted friends, Out of Darkness Gospel Group, Chris Hogan, Antwon Calloway, Kendrick Hill, Tameka Curry, Jarvis Johnson, DeWayne Johnson, sister cousin Terlika Williams and Sparkle Howell, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.

Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 11:00-7:00PM.

Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel – Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
