Javis Jawon Boyd was born on May 22, 2001, to Travis Bishop and Lakisha Boyd in Macon, GA. He resided in Irwinton, GA until his unexpected transition on December 26, 2024. Javis is preceded in death by his loving grandmother,Ethel Mae Bishop and uncle, Michael Terrell Jackson.
Javis attended Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Georgia, as a graduate of the class of 2020. He excelled as a student athlete, specializing in the sport of basketball as an elite player. His passion for basketball extended beyond the lines of the court, resulting in him becoming an inspiration through his leadership/mentorship of local youth basketball players.Javis cherished the bonds of family, finding immense joy in lively family gatherings and celebrations. Although he made many bonds with family and friends his greatest bond was with his two children Jayvn Boyd and Jaheirre Boyd to whom he was a devoted father. His laughter and love created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to share in these moments. Though Javis has bid farewell to this earthly existence, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
His cherished memories will live on by his loving parents: Lakisha Boyd and Travis Bishop; two children: Jayvn Boyd and Jaheirre Boyd; stepmother, Shontaye Robbins; bonus mom, Roxie Broadus; special companion, Jaiden Todd; four sisters: Jasmine Bishop, Ty’Keisha Thornton, Ny’Keisha Thornton, and Ta’Liyah Bishop; four brothers: Jatrayvis Boyd, Javoris Bishop, Montezz Willis, and Legend Bishop; two grandmothers, Marilyn West and Izola Patricia Williams; two grandfathers, Alfred Boyd and Alonzo Preston; five aunts: LaSondra (Jamaal) Boyd, Keterah (Antonio) Dawson, Chennerricka Jones, Ariel Davis, and Angela (the late Michael) Nemard- Jackson; five uncles: Derrick Jackson, Tracy (Sherrie) Jackson, Antonio (Fremeka) Jones, Chirod (Sheryl) Jones, and Quavis (Shawanta) Williams; and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
Javis’ life will forever be cherished in the lives of all that knew and loved him.
Public viewing will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 1:00-7:00PM.
