Celebration of Life Services for Jason B. Lawrence will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00AM. Location: Shiloh Baptist Church 122 Hooks Street – Gordon, Georgia. Pastor Kendrick K. Mack will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery – Gordon.

 Jason Bernard Lawrence, was born the 8th child of the late Tommie Lee and Catherine (Pearl) Lawrence on May 8, 1966. He was raised in Gordon, Georgia, and attended Mother Goose Kindergarten and the Public Schools of Wilkinson County 1st – 12th Grades. 

 While in High School, Jason was on the Boys Basketball Team where his God-given height of six foot-seven served him well. Jason was a 1984 Graduate of Wilkinson County High School. He enrolled and graduated from Georgia SW State University & Technical College with a degree in Computer Science & Technology.

 Jason joined the Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age during Vacation School, and was a member of the Choir where he sang “Bass”. One of His favorite songs was “Because He Lives”. He also served as a member of the historic male group, “The Gospel Imperials”. 

 Jason’s professional career included employment with Northrop Grumman, Georgia College-Milledgeville, Georgia, and He was Self-Employed for a number of years. 

Jason was previously married to Nikki Tanner (Fordham), and to this union he was blessed with one daughter, Jayla. Jason leaves to cherish his memories: Daughter, Jayla Lawrence; Sisters: Gerri L. (Ronny) Smith, and Sandra L. (David) Fordham; Brothers:  Melvin (Tammy) Lawrence, and Terry (Kay) Lawrence; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel - Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
