Funeral Services for Mr. Ernest Lee Green, will be held on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Springhill CME Church in Gordon, Georgia. Rev. Ellestine Stephens will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Mr. Ernest Green was born on May 01, 1961 to the parents of Mr. I.G and Mrs. Evelyn Harris Green. He received his education from the Wilkinson County School System. At an early age, he joined the Springhill CME Church where he served faithfully.
Ernest loved music, especially playing the piano. He served as the musician for several churches locally and in the surrounding county.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Evelyn Harris Green; a devoted friend, Carl L. Bass; step-brother, Alvin Hughes; aunts: Rose Mary Crockett, Lillian McArthur, Jean Harris, Annie Harris, and Pinkie Harris; uncles: Sampson Crockett, E.W. Green and Mike McArthur, and a host of devoted relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mr. Green will be held on Monday July 24, 2017 from 11:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Green will be placed in the sanctuary of Springhill CME Church one hour prior to service hour.
Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel, Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
