July 28, 1951 — October 12, 2015

Funeral Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Massey, 64, of Gordon, will be held on Saturday October 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at St. John CME Church  504 College Street Gordon. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery College Street in Gordon. Rev. Joseph Burney will officiate.

Our dear beloved Elizabeth Ann Massey departed this life on Monday, October 12, 2015.  She was born to the parentage of the late Mr. David Jones, Sr., and Mrs. Odessa Moore Jones.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Gordon, Georgia and she attended the public schools in Wilkinson County.  She affiliated herself with the Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her demise.  Elizabeth’s son, Herbert Jones was born in Gordon, GA.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Frank “Bill” Massey on January 31, 1988 and to this union one child was born.  Elizabeth was a loving and devoted wife and mother; She spent a lot of time nurturing her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Frank Massey, Gordon, Georgia; one son, Herbert Jones, Macon, Georgia; one daughter, Tammie Massey, Macon, Georgia; two sisters, Jerry Dine Jones Beckam, Gordon, Georgia and Louise Floyd (Ben), Macon, Georgia; two grandsons, Zion and Josiah Alexander, Macon, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Gloria Massey, Gordon, Georgia, Elnora Gadson; and Ada Massey; one brother-in-law, Presiding Elder Oscar Massey a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Massey will be placed in the church one hour before service hour. Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel 142 Wriley Road Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
