He was educated in the public schools in Irwinton GA and graduated from the Wilkinson County High School in 1976.
On August 13, 1978, Eddie pledged his love in marriage to his devoted wife, Mary Powell Whipple. Their celebration of love and commitment to each other would span over 47 years. They were blessed to parent three beautiful children, Eddie “Wayne”, Antonio “Yatta” and Mercedes. Eddie loved his family, and he absolutely cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Eddie was professionally employed as an Outside Process Operator at Kamin (formerly Engelhard & BASF) in McIntyre GA. He was a hard worker and superior provider for his family. He was a master detailer and one of his favorite pastimes was washing and cleaning his vehicles. He also provided lawn service to many throughout the surrounding community.
Growing up, he enjoyed playing basketball and watching various sports. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and although he wasn’t known for many words in a large setting, he was often the initiator of humorous conversations at family gatherings.
