Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Converse “Robert” Mallory will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 12:00PM at Jordan Stream Baptist Church. Rev. James Smith will serve as eulogist.
Converse “Robert” Mallory, Sr., the eighth of eight children, was born on May 26, 1948, to the late John and Tee Elen Mallory of Danville, Georgia. He graduated from Wilkinson County High School in 1965 and later retired from Central State Hospital, where he served faithfully as a caretaker.
From a young age, Converse embraced the outdoors, developing a lifelong love for fishing and hunting. As he grew older, his daily joys became simple and steady; playing Cash 3 at the Jet Store, giving rides to neighbors and friends to work, the store, or doctor appointments, listening to the blues, and reading his Bible early each morning. His positive outlook, warm smile, and unwavering love for God touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daisy Pearl Hall Mallory; his brothers Charles, John, and Hubert; his sisters Bernice and Esther; his stepson Jeffery Jerome Hall; and his stepdaughter Latrasha Simmons.
Converse leaves to cherish his memory his children: Converse (Shemeka) Mallory, Jr., Randy (Amiee) Simmons, Ricky (Yvette) Simmons, Michael (Jessie) Walke, and son‑in‑law John Underwood. He is also lovingly remembered by his goddaughter, Diana Davis; his grandchildren Ingram Smith, Jarel Davis, Rod Pearson, Keryca Paschall, Creshayla Simmons, Dernaisia Simmons, Corneluis Mallory, and KeDaruis Mallory; his brother Willie “Uncle Tiny” Mallory; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Public viewing will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the funeral home from 1:00-6:00PM.
