Alan R. Davis

Funeral Services for Mr. Alan R. Davis will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00AM. Location: Brundage Mt. Baptist Church 235 Vinson Road, McIntyre, Georgia. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Dr. Willie Batts will serve as eulogist.

Mr. Alan R. Davis was born November 14, 1957, in Baldwin County, to the parentage of the late Hollis and Bessie Davis. He was one of six children. Alan was a member of Brundage Mt. Baptist Church. Mr. Davis attended Wilkinson County Public School, Class of “77” and he worked for Engelhard for 30 plus years.   

He was united in holy matrimony to Gloria Powell on October 4, 2004.

Mr. Davis loved to sit under the tree, spend time with his family and classmates. He loved The Atlanta Braves and loved to watch the News and turned around and reported his own way.

Mr. Davis memories will always be cherished by his devoted wife Gloria Powell, of Gordon, Georgia; eight children; Alex ( Chermika) Davis, of Milledgeville, Georgia, Taketia ( Kenneth) Veal, of Macon, Georgia, Sabrina Davis, of Irwinton, Georgia, Erica Davis, of McIntyre, Georgia, Terica Davis, of Macon, Georgia; stepchildren; Cheyenne Clowers, of Macon, Georgia, Monica Clowers, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Alvin Clowers, of Gordon, Georgia; siblings; Carllee Rouse, Kenneth Rouse, Teresa (Davis) Anderson, Phyllis Davis, and James Davis, of McIntyre, Georgia; a devoted uncle, Charles Rouse, two brother-in-laws; five sister-in-laws; twenty-one grandchildren; one great-grandchild; devoted friends; Timothy Womble, Cary Carswell, Felecia Kine and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Public viewing will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, September 27 from 11:00-7:00PM.

Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel, Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
